Day one of the 30 Days of Get Your Art On. This is a pastel/watercolor pencil/Sharpie marker drawing of my dog Cailean that I started on a long weekend we took with her up to Stowe Vermont. I had used the pastels to color the background of the page in my smaller travel journal along with an outline of my favorite Scottish Terrier, and didn't have the supplies to finish it. So today I spent time filling in the sketch I made of her with her summer haircut. Below is the photo that helped inspire me. I'm also working on some other pages in my journal, layering paint, but that takes a while to dry.
