Field Trip: High Line in NYC






It's important to the creative process (and one's sanity) to go off the beaten track of our usual routine and see something new. For me the opportunity came this past weekend when we were attending orientation activities with my son in New York City where he and his sister are going to college (different schools). My husband surprised me with a Sunday morning walk on the High Line, which is an old elevated railway that has been rehabilitated into this beautiful walking path with wild flowers and benches to sit on. You get an amazing view of the city above the traffic, among the buildings. I've included a few more photos below.
